DecisionsMatter.ai is an AI decision-support tool built and operated by Business Mojo, based in Mumbai, India. For the purposes of applicable data protection law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK GDPR), the data controller is Business Mojo. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the tool at decisionsmatter.ai, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
Decision content: When you use the Decision Analysis tool, the text you enter is sent to the our cloud API to generate AI responses. We do not store this content on our servers beyond the scope of generating your analysis.
Email address and name: If you request a PDF report, you provide your name and email address. This is used to deliver your report and may be used for occasional product updates from Business Mojo. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Usage logs: We collect anonymous usage data for product analytics: timestamp, hashed IP address (not the raw IP), browser type, decision category, mental model used, and verdict. This data is used solely to improve the tool and is never sold to third parties.
Support enquiries: If you submit a support or feedback form, your email and message are stored to respond to your enquiry.
DecisionsMatter.ai uses a small number of cookies, grouped into three categories:
Strictly necessary cookies: These are required for the site to function. They include: (a) a PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) that maintains your login state while you use the tool, and (b) a remember-me cookie (dm_remember) that keeps you signed in between visits if you choose the "remember me" option. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Security cookies: We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our forms to protect against automated abuse. reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies and collect hardware and software information to assess whether you are human. reCAPTCHA operates under Google's Privacy Policy.
Analytics cookies: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the tool — which features are used, where users drop off, and general traffic patterns. GA4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish unique users and sessions. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we do not use it to identify individuals. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking for marketing purposes.
We use data collected for: (a) delivering your PDF analysis report, (b) product analytics to improve the tool, (c) responding to support enquiries, and (d) protecting the tool from automated abuse.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR): Where the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases: (a) consent — when you enter your email and name to request a report, or when you submit a support enquiry; (b) performance of a contract — when we process your payment and deliver credits; (c) legitimate interest — for analytics (improving the tool), security measures (rate limiting, abuse protection), and session management. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required by applicable law.
Email addresses collected via the report request are retained for as long as the tool operates or until you request deletion. Usage log data is retained for up to 12 months. Support enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months.
When you use DecisionsMatter.ai, the decision text you enter is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. Anthropic's servers are located in the United States. This means your decision content is transferred outside India and, if you are in the EU/UK, outside the European Economic Area. We rely on Anthropic's data processing terms and standard contractual clauses for this transfer. Your decision content is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the scope of generating the response.
Google reCAPTCHA and Google Analytics 4 may also transfer data to Google servers located outside your jurisdiction. These transfers are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and their standard contractual clauses.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at admin@decisionsmatter.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
Additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR: If you are located in the EU or UK, you also have the right to: (a) withdraw consent at any time, (b) request restriction of processing, (c) request data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format), and (d) object to processing based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
Anthropic Claude API: Powers the AI decision analysis and advisory board features. Your decision text is sent to Anthropic for processing. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Google reCAPTCHA v3: Protects forms against automated abuse. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics 4: Collects anonymous usage statistics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Razorpay: Processes payments. Your payment details are handled directly by Razorpay and are not stored on our servers. Governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
We use HTTPS, server-side security tokens, and rate limiting to protect our systems. No internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but apply reasonable measures consistent with the nature and scope of the data we process.
Liability for data incidents: In the unlikely event of a data breach or security incident, our liability is limited as described in our Terms of Usage (Section 9 — Limitation of Liability). We will notify affected users promptly and take reasonable steps to mitigate any harm, in accordance with applicable data protection law.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance.
